very interesting walk but unfortunately have a gripe to make! the oxo tower only had one of three lifts working which meant that our walking party had to squeeze in several trips up and down. having been stuck in a broken lift that was very overcrowded previously i had to wait until the end and get in a relatively empty lift. we told our guide this but when we came back down in the lift he and the walkers had left us and gone on the next place! we looked everywhere to no avail. very dissapointing as we only took a couple of minutes to come back down. what a shame - take note steve for future walks

Point absolutely well taken, Jenny. We'll have a word with Steve. To borrow – and slightly amend – the famous phrase from the Falklands War, Steve most certainly should have "counted you all up and counted you all down". Full and genuinely meant apologies. Lesson learned here. Thanks for writing. Bestest, David

Went on the "Somewhere Else" walk on 14th July with Steve as our guide. He was knowledgeable and amusing and we enjoyed the walk very much (helped greatly by the good weather). We were interested in the information about the old Hungerford bridge and where some of it has ended up and also the views from a certain tall building. You'll have to go on the walk to find out more! Thank you Steve. (PS. I'm not on the picture!!)

We really enjoyed Stephanie's somewhere else tour on tues funny, helpful and informative.Anyway we took Stephanie's advice and went for a beer in the Kings Arms (note my home town!)and ended up walking back over the river at Waterloo bridge at 7pm, hence it was dark .what an astounding view in night light up and down the Thames, and I would suggest everybody doing the tour should be advised to do likewise.Wait till dark and WALK back over the river.I won't ever forget that panoramic view ( far better than the EYE!oops ) Anyway thanks again, Mairead

A great walk made even better by a great guide. Stephanie, a larger than life character, had us hanging on her every word. She made the walk not only interesting and informative, but amusing also. A real delight, and well worth every penny.

Steve (our guide) was quite the character and put on a tremendous show on this walk. Most of the walk features more modern (1818-1951) buildings and events., which was surprising to me given the location.

The national theater and gallery were highlights for me, plus Steve id just a fun and interesting guy to listen too for a couple of hours

Went on the Somewhere Else London walk yesterday afternoon. I was very impressed and enjoyed it immensely. Although I know the area we walked in, there were so many snippets of information that were so interesting. Will certainly recommend. Not just your average guide. Great.
